Greek Yogurt Berry Parfait

Layered berries, yogurt, and granola for a quick healthy breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup mixed berries
  • 1/2 cup low-sugar granola
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. If using frozen berries, thaw them for a few minutes at room temperature or microwave for 30 seconds — the juices will create a natural berry syrup.
  2. Spoon a generous layer of Greek yogurt into the bottom of two glasses or jars.
  3. Add a layer of mixed berries, pressing them gently against the sides of the glass for a pretty look.
  4. Sprinkle a layer of granola over the berries.
  5. Repeat the layers once more — yogurt, berries, then granola on top.
  6. Finish with a sprinkle of chia seeds and a light drizzle of honey. Serve immediately so the granola stays crunchy.

Tips

  • Assemble everything except the granola the night before and store in the fridge — add granola in the morning to keep it crisp.
  • Swap honey for a drizzle of maple syrup or a spoonful of nut butter for variety.
  • Frozen berries work just as well as fresh and are often more budget-friendly.
  • Add a tablespoon of hemp hearts or ground flaxseed for an extra boost of omega-3s.
